The Need for New & Renovation Plan Overview

In October 2018, we were pleased to announce that our Club's renovation proposal was approved by our membership in a 116 to 25 (82%) vote of our regular members.

This was something that the Board, with the input of several committees, had been working towards for over five years. The Board, after an exhaustive search, chose Killeen Studio Architects with whom to work in creating a vision for our Club.

Killeen Studio Architects started the process of developing our Master Plan by meeting face-to-face with individuals from across the various sectors of membership. In deciding how to move forward from our Master Plan to a specific project, the next step was to conduct more focus groups and send out a membership-wide survey to each and every family at the Club. Management and the Board sifted through and categorized literally hundreds if not thousands of individual comments, concerns, and suggestions that we recieved through the survey, 11 focus groups, emails, and simple face-to-face conversations with members from every sector of the Club.

After this information gathering process, we then shared with the membership the Board's proposed Matser Plan Projects for 2019-2020. After deciding on the concept of the proposed projects, the Board, with the recommendation from the Long Range Planning Committee, agreed to bring on Hensley Construction, Inc. as the general contractor to work with the Club and Killeen Studio Architects to make these projects a reality.

The projects that were proposed were based on membership feedback and scored highest addressing wants and needs of the membership as well as what we believe will have the highest impact on member retention and membership generation.

On Monday, October 8th, a special meeting was held to vote on the proposed projects and the proposal passed in a 116 to 25 vote of our regular members!

Front Lobby

New window treatments will adorn the lobby as well as fresh paint and light fixtures. A carpet runner will lead to the Living Room. The carpet will transition to a hardwood floor that will lead to the Glen Oak Room to the right and the Member Lounge to the left. A separation of the walkway and Living Room will be created.

Living Room

The Living Room will receive a makeover with new detail at the ceiling, light fixtures, carpet, and all new furniture.

Westborough Room

We would not dream of touching the beautiful ceiling on our Westborough Room. However, the room will look warm and inviting with enhanced lighting, new carpet, wall treatments, and furniture throughout.

The Member Lounge is the area just off the Bar that is outside the Club Room. The windows pictured are where the current french doors are now. The parquet flooring will be replaced with the same hardwood used in the hall leading up to it. Closing off the doors with the windows creates more sitting space in this area and allows for additional dining space.

Club Room Dining Area

An exposed ceiling with slats around parts of the perimeter. New light fixtures will shine above the revamped dining area along with all new furniture, new flooring, and stone on the new and existing wood walls. The current brick walls will get a fresh coat of paint. In addition, both seating is added and a small private room will be created for parties of up to ten people.

Club Room Bar

The new Bar will be four sided. Across the Bar on the left are the doors that lead out to the Veranda that can be left open on those days when the weather is conducive to an indoor/outdoor feel. The ceiling is slated to have a tin look with acoustic properties.

Veranda

The outside walls of the Veranda will be stone as will the majestic fireplace proudly displaying our Club logo. The road will be moved toward the putting green, but will not affect the green. A sidewalk is planned in front of the Veranda, creating a safer and more aesthetic path to the main entrance.

Our expanded Veranda will more than double the size of the outdoor dining area as well as create an inviting lounge area by the gas fireplace. The area will be enchanced with easy access to the Bar through the glass doors just beyond the fireplace. The view of the arking lot will be masked by the fireplace directing your eyes to our beautiful golf course. In addition, strategic lighting will surely make this a destination for our membership.

Ladies Locker Room

The Ladies Locker Room gets a fresh makeover. While we do not have rendering, the locker room will have new carpet throughout. The showers and bathrooms closest to the front entrance will be gutted and replaced with all new tile, lighting, counters, and fixtures. The bathroom stalls will be replaced with tiled walls. The large mirrors will be replaced with decorative framed mirrors. We also have plans to create a more private area where mothers can sit and relax with their infants.

Kitchen

The new Kitchen extends to include the area that is now our existing bar. The current dishwasher will be moved into this area which will save substantial labor and be much safer for our team. Additionally, labor saving power wash sinks will be added as well as additional storage. This will create much needed additional work space for our team to meet the rising volume we have and will likely continue to experience. Additionally, we will add air conditioning which will greatly improve the working conditions for our staff and ultimately enhance the product they can deliver.

A special thank you to Bill Brasser & Captiva Marketing for providing the professional photographs found above
